Je suis Kay — bilingual Acadian francophone from Campbellton, New Brunswick (right at the Quebec border), living on Prince Edward Island since 1996. Grew up code-switching in a fully bilingual home — Chiac in the kitchen, English at school. Native French and English speaker, Gen X, and proud of both.
When I first landed on the Island, I worked for the only French-language newspaper on PEI. These days I create content about real life — style that works for actual humans, food that's worth making, and the everyday moments that make a life beautiful. No perfection here. Just authenticity, warmth, and a good laugh.
Home base: my husband Barry, two golden retrievers (Stark and Pepper), and three cats (Gus, Juliet, and Shuri). My 26-year-old son lives nearby on PEI, and Barry's two boys are in their early 20s over in New Brunswick — visits keep our hearts full. And yes — I'm building an app. Closet Cue is Canada's first bilingual wardrobe assistant, built because I got tired of having a full closet and nothing to wear.
